An inukshuk (or inuksuk) is a traditional Inuit stone landmark symbolizing guidance, safety, hope, and human presence in the vast Arctic landscape, serving crucial practical roles like navigation, marking hunting grounds (especially for caribou), and communication, while also embodying cultural values of community, solidarity, and resourcefulness. They vary from simple stacked stones to complex human-like figures (inunnguaq), representing shared human experience and offering reassurance in barren lands.
